I did a quick review of your website.

My advice is first to fix any errors on your site. If you go to this site: http://validator.w3.org/ and enter you website URL, there are 22 errors on your code.

These errors may prevent Google to fully crawl every page of your site.

Most importantly, you have to search engine optimize your website. This way, Google will have an idea on what business you’re in and what products you’re offering. So when people search for say “calgary lawn signs”, your website will appear.

According to Google, there are 140 people are using that phrase to search and those are your prospects that you’re suppose to get.

Being in the process of a long overdue website update, I look forward to increasing th traffic to my website, but am also a bit concerned about how to direct requests for the specific products we produce. Suggestion? Comments?

I really like your advice on not jumping the gun when you are working on your local internet marketing and want to try out new technologies that have just been released. For sure it is always best to take your time with your marketing plan and in the long run it will be that much more worth it.

Absolutely. Many businesses are unaware of this. Their too busy on their day to day task. When their sales drop or no one is hiring them, they have no idea what hit them.

They blame the competition, economy, and all other things.

Hi Jon, I really like your post. I totally agree that people will search for your web presence first and foremost. Additionally, what we call online brand management is very important. One service that social media virtual assistants offer is the ability to track this for you on a daily basis to ensure that negative comments about your business are not floating around, and that positive ones are promoted. I think there might be a lot of companies out there in this situation. This particular company may or not be reliable but anyone considering to buy will definetly think twice, not something you want..
